The Trend: Sunglasses

The weather is warming up and finally the sun has begun to come out from its long arduous hibernation.  This only means one thing: break out your sunglasses!  It doesn't matter what shape they may be, whether they're oversized, cat-eyed, square, round, etc...you get the idea.  Just make sure you look good in them - that's all that matters.  Behind the cut you'll find some of A+P Daily's favorites that are ready to go for the sunny Spring weather.

Wayfarers:

Ray-Ban Outsiders Oversized Wayfarer Sunglasses - $145.00 USD

These Ray-Bans are perfect for an old-school, laid-back vibe.  The tortoise shell is different from your typical standard black which makes them a unique pair.  

Aviators:

Ray-Ban Original Aviator Sunglasses - $139.00 USD

Again, Ray-Bans are usually the go-to brand for the classic Aviator style.  Of course, Oliver Peoples makes a great pair of aviators, but you end up paying almost $300 more than Ray-Bans.  Unless you have that extra disposable income available, Ray-Bans are usually the most sensible choice.  The gold color is perhaps the most popular because it is so iconic; however Ray-Ban tends to put out limited edition styles with pastel mixed rims or gradient shades.

Oversized - Cat-Eye:

House of Harlow 1960 Chelsea Cat-Eye Sunglasses in Nude or Black - $139 (Available for Pre-Order in June)

Nicole Richie always showcases her products in a chic way, and her sunglasses are no different.  As a fan of her shoe line, A+P Daily expects nothing less than fashionable and unique pieces from her sunglasses line.  These Chelsea sunglasses are a hot commodity amongst fashionistas as they are so simple yet very elegant.  A+P Daily can't wait to get a hold of these as soon as they hit the market in June.

Oversized - Square

Stella McCartney Glam Round Square Sunglasses - $200.00

These sunglasses are a new take on having the best of both basic shades: black and white.  They're a great look on virtually anyone and are definitely a great buy for the market price.  Oversized frames like these square ones usually look great on almost anyone, especially round faces.

Unique Favorites:

Linda Farrow x Alexander Wang Zipper  Simple Square Sunglasses - $365.00 (Available in Gold Zipper and Silver Zipper on Black)

Alexander Wang accessories are a definite favorite of A+P Daily and the collaboration that he did with Linda Farrow makes his sunglasses at the top of our buying list.  These sunglasses were all the rage a few seasons ago, and it's still no different now.  They're a fresh take on the angular square frame (similar to a wayfarer) but has a unique zipper detailing.  We love how these can turn any outfit from elegant to edgy in seconds.  Definitely consider these if you're willing to splurge.

Some other A+P Daily favorites include the new line of Proenza Schouler sunglasses, especially the pair of white square frames (images were not available); and basically the entire line of House of Harlow 1960 Sunglasses.  As a celebrity line, it definitely impressed us.  If you're not willing to splurge $100+ for a pair of sunglasses, just make sure when you're buying a cheaper pair that it's UV protected.  Urban Outfitters usually sells on-trend sunglasses that are UV protected, and we're sure other reputable retailers do as well.  It's just important that when you're buying a pair of sunglasses, they actually serve their purpose.
